Similies
Is as fast as a cheetah on a hunt
Is tall as the biggest tree
Is as small as a tree on its journey to grow
Is as beautiful as a Beautiful flower shining in the sunlight
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.
Mōrena Dominique!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Mikey. I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team this year and I'll be commenting on some of your wonderful blog posts over the summer. It's so great to see that you've made a start on the teaser week activities - well done! :)
You've come up with some lovely similes here, Dominique. I particularly like the one about the tree - very creative. Do you like creative writing? Are they all about Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce? It's a good idea to write full sentences (ie. 'Shelly-Ann is as fast as a cheetah on a hunt'), that way what you're talking about is clear to your readers.
Congratulations again on completing your first task! Remember, the programme officially begins next Monday (December 16th), so be sure to check out the Week 1 activities on the Summer Learning Journey website then. In the meantime, keep going with the teaser week activities - I can't wait to read more! :)
Have a wonderful day,
Mikey
