After some Intense thinking and constantly going back to the drawing board I came up with masterpiece, one thing I'm really proud of is the hammerhead shark in a sequence skirt then I plopped in some flowers and the leading lines to try and make the wine the focus.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Climate change - Orana Park
This week the year 7 & 8's got to go on a trip to Orana park which was very very thrilling and exciting, In this post, I will be sharing 3 things I enjoyed on the trip, with 4 facts about the animals and 4 facts about how climate change affects the animals in the zoo.
3 things I enjoyed:
I enjoyed the Lunch
The kiwi
the lions & Tiger & cheetah
4 Facts I learned:
I learned that cheetahs are more closely related to domestic dogs when they run sometimes they don't barely touch the ground so they use their tails to guide them.
I learned that the flaps around orangutans head help them flow their voice
I learned that for African wild dogs only the alpha and alpha female are the only ones that can have pups and if any females have pups the alpha female kills their pups.
I learned that some lizards are different from other lizards because some of them blink instead of lick their eyes.
4 climate change facts I learned at Orana park :
Tasmanian devils are effects by disease in Australia

My Investigation on climate change
My Investigation on climate change
ACIDIFICATION
DEFINITION: acidification occurs when CO2 is absorbed into the water at a high rate
What is happening to the oceans?
The ocean is taking to much CO2, because of that the fish can't settle by the ocean taking to much of CO2 the shellfish start to aciditate making them not able to form their shells.
What does this do to shellfish?
They start to aciditate wish enables them to create their shells.
HOW DOES CLIMATE CHANGE CONTRIBUTE TO THE ACIDIFICATION OF OUR OCEANS?
2 Images;

DEFINITION: clearcutting of forests
What are trees used for?
They're used for the water cycle, and transpiration and CO2 wood is mostly used for houses household items paper and pencils.
HOW DOES DEFORESTATION AFFECT THE CLIMATE?
2 Images;

ICECAP MELT
DEFINITION: Ice melting and falling into the ocean
If all the ice melted what would happen?
The seawater will rise higher and higher The ocean would cover all the coastal cities. And land area would shrink
HOW DOES ICECAP MELT AFFECT CLIMATE CHANGE?

WATER VAPOUR
DEFINITION:
Gas water
HOW DOES WATER VAPOUR AND EVAPORATION CONTRIBUTE TO CLIMATE CHANGE?
As the climate warms, air temperatures rise more evaporation from water sources

New science lab
Aim: To learn about the expected behavior in a science laboratory.
teacher shoes practical teacher laboratory ask sniff teacher breakages
Our R9 Class Treaty
- Bags under your desk
- No food or drink/s
- No running
- Don't touch experiments
- report any breakages or spills
- Do not taste or sniff anything
Safety in a laboratory.
teacher shoes practical teacher laboratory ask sniff teacher breakages
- Follow the instructions given to you by the teacher
- You must not enter the laboratory without your ____teacher____.
- Report all ______breakages______ to your teacher.
- You must never eat or drink in a _____laboratory_______ .
- ___shoes____ must be worn at all times.
- If you spill something you should tell your ____teacher_____ immediately.
- You should wash your hands after every ____practical___ activity.
- You should know what you are doing. If in doubt ____ask__ your teacher.
- Never taste or __sniff____ chemicals.
In your group, discuss how the following scenarios could be dangerous.
- Not putting your bag under your desk.
- Running around in the laboratory.
- Not wearing shoes in a laboratory.
- Shaking a test tube with your thumb over its mouth?
How do we work in this laboratory?
- Beginning and End of class: Lining up, Entry, Seating,
- Equipment tray: equipment list and details.
- Test tube - This is used for experiments using liquids. They have a bung that can be placed in the top. Test tubes sit in a test tube rack.
- Conical Flask - This is used for experiments with liquid up to 150 ml. The flask has a rubber bung for the top and the glass is heatproof.

- Glass Stirring rod - This is a 20cm glass rod used to stir and mix any liquids together.

- Test tube tongs - These are used to hold a hot test tube after an experiment.

- Spatula - This is for holding very small amounts of chemical powders.

- Funnel - used to channel liquids into a smaller container.

- Measuring Cylinder - This is used to measure liquids for experiments. The liquids will be poured into a beaker or test tube once measured out.

Research Template
For Digital Tech we have been researching about common issues, we got the choice to choose what we wanted to know about, and then we had to ask questions then give the answer to that question.

Tapu Ae
What is tapu Ae?:
Tapu ae is a traditional Māori ball game. It is an adaptation of ki-o-Rahi to a court game, Today it is played on a hard surface such as a netball court. The court consists of two sides
What are the basic rules of tapu ae?:
1: Stay in your part of the court
2: Don't go into the guardian's circle
3: don't step out of your court's line
What are some of the te reo Maori Kupu that we talked about?:
I just really enjoyed being the guardian.
What were the drawbacks that you can think of?:
The ones I can think about is the lack of communication
What could your team do better next time you play?:
We could work on our communication more and not slacking off while the team at the end is playing.

Tapu Ae is one of many Kī (ball) game variations. The Pawero area's on the field were sometimes specially constructed mounds of dirt. Papa Tākaro (playing fields) were there is highly maintained and places for developing physical well being, requiring a range of different skills. The Referee Starts the game by throwing the Kī into Te Ao (the middle zone) this is done after each tupu hit. If a team losses possession out of bounds over the sides, then they hand over the Kī to the other team.
What were your roles in your team for these games:?
I was a guardian for most of the games.

2. Lemon juice
3. Salt
4. Vinegar
5. Sugar
6. Milk
7. Onion
8. Lemonade
9. Bleach
10. Baking Soda
Steps:
- Add the name of the ingredient into the chart
- Search for an image of the ingredient
- download and paste in into the chart
- Search for the chemical used in the ingredient
- Find out if the ingredient is a Solid, Liquid or Gas
Task 1: Put the 10 chemicals in a chart with the titles - Name, Chemical ingredient(s), Image, Solid/Liquid/Gas.

Singing
Every day on Wednesday we would have a day were we got to choose a passion so the options were
-CIP
-Singing
-Dancing
-Rugby
-Ambassadors
I chose Singing and Dancing, On period three The people who chose singing go to My homeroom and on period four is dancing but this blog post isn't about dancing. In singing, there are a bunch of option's of songs after about a few minutes of choosing songs we got to do "You are the reason" by Callum Scott I could tell everyone was kinda nervous but after getting the hang of it every one surprised me because I thought they were going to be nervous again but then they sounded so angelic It was crazy, after a few more days in singing we became more confident so we suggested singing lovely by Billie Eilish, After about two practices we decided we would perform it, we hope it works out well,
We have three terms of singing The last term we will be performing in Horncastle arena, I've been there about two times so it wasn't new to me I knew all the rules and how the night and practise would go but every time at practise it 's always different from the last which I think is very cool so when we perform it's not the same as the last time. I enjoyed the practices not because we got out of school it was because I'm very passionate about singing and just to be there was very enjoyable for me, but it would be a stress because the practice is the same day as the performance and the practice goes from 8:00 to 2:00 so we are there for a while but it was worth it.
Thank you for reading my blog post, I would really like to hear your feedback on want I can work on.
