Visual Art: Transcription Street Art

In Art we have been looking at various types of street murals, we were to look at different cultural types of murals or just any art style. I quite enjoyed the proccess of having to use a grid and use a different section of the art, I used half of the Face and tried to have my own spin on it which somehow worked but the orginal by Lionel Smit is still way better. I Think I could try do the whole proccess again and use paint instead and try use different brushes or palate knives to make it rough but soft.

Street Art: mural

I quite enjoy this mural not only because its vibrant and has really good attention to detail but the shading and the lighting is really beautiful and it has this affect of dragging your eyes in and theres so much tiny details that is why i'm so intrigued with this mural.

Art - Collage

In art we were given a task of doing a collage of anything we could find in a random magazine, and it took awhile to find something that interested me but once I saw this one bright yellow page with a wine bottle and the quote saying "It's an Italian thing" I knew I had to improvise something with it which was a difficult task to do since nothing really matched or made sense together but I took advantage of that and tried to make it as complex as possible.

After some Intense thinking and constantly going back to the drawing board I came up with masterpiece, one thing I'm really proud of is the hammerhead shark in a sequence skirt then I plopped in some flowers and the leading lines to try and make the wine the focus.

Photography

Slinkachu is a very famous photographer, he is famous for his tiny men photo's where he would put tiny men in different situations and would leave them there as a left behind art piece.

I took this very complex-ish photo and you can see they are in a V shape postion with the female's at front and the males at the back, and for the lighting i used to small little light bulbs that are green and white which kinda gives it a weird vibe.

I just smoothed the clothes on the mini figures to give it a pearl-ish look and just made the men's clothes slick.

photo montage

Hannah Hoch
Hannah Höch, née Anna Therese Johanne Höch, (born November 1, 1889. Hannah Höch was a German Dada artist known for her political photomontages. Made from newspaper clippings and found objects, her work often engaged with the early 20th-century ideal of the “New Woman”—one who challenged the traditional domestic role of females.

Hannah Hoch played a huge role in our photomontages, we had to learn about how she as an artist had become so popular for her bazaar photo work.

For the past 3 weeks, we had been trying to recreate Hanna Hoch's bazaar art style we had two-three weeks of making scrapbooks and after we had finished our scrapbooks we had to make three posters based on Hannah Hoch's way of putting everything together but we had a choice on what we wanted the images to be.

My photomontages

My first photo is a guy lying in a stadium with butterflies and a butterfly covering his face the focal point is the butterflies.

My second one is based on what a lucid dream what kinda looks like and my inspiration is based on for the bee's are from Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

My third one is kind of how I perceive eye's and eye color's I thought of stars because i think stars just add a beautiful feature to it.

Hannah HÖch

Hannah HÖch
Hannah Höch, née Anna Therese Johanne Höch, (born November 1, 1889
Hannah Höch was a German Dada artist known for her political photomontages. Made from newspaper clippings and found objects, her work often engaged with the early 20th-century ideal of the “New Woman”—one who challenged the traditional domestic role of females.
Höch’s bold collisions and combinations of fragments of widely circulated images connected her work to the world and captured the rebellious, critical spirit of the interwar period
Höch began her training in 1912 at the School of Applied Arts in Berlin-Charlottenburg, where she studied glass design with Harold Bengen until her work was interrupted by the outbreak of World War I.She went back to Berlin in 1915 and re enrolled at the School of Applied Arts, where she studied painting and graphic design
Höch and Hausmann cut, overlapped, and juxtaposed (usually) photographic fragments in disorienting but meaningful ways to reflect the confusion and chaos of the postwar era.
The artist is most commonly associated with her photomontage cut with a kitchen knife through a beer belly of the weimar republic (1919-1920) which critiqued the male-domnated political apparatus.
