Muic Relfection

I had quite enjoyed music last term because it had focused a bit more on instruments and I thought that it was really nice to have more time doing practical stuff. One skill I had learned last term was being able to use the pedal on the piano, I did get to perform the song I had learned was Clair De Lune By Debussy and I was quite happy with the way it had turned out, I will definitely be taking music next term and I wanna try and focus more on the piano and how to incorporate the pedals.

Photography

 

Slinkachu is a very famous photographer, he is famous for his tiny men photo's where he would put tiny men in different situations and would leave them there as a left behind art piece.

I took this very complex-ish photo and you can see they are in a V shape postion with the female's at front and the males at the back, and for the lighting i used to small little light bulbs that are green and white which kinda gives it a weird vibe. 

I just smoothed the clothes on the mini figures to give it a pearl-ish look and just made the men's clothes slick.

Music 2020

What have you enjoyed learning in music this year:
Overall everything was amazing and I enjoyed learning all instruments 

What have you found challenging:

Probably picking the right song and practising it and then performing it was a bit challenging but it was a good experience 

What did you perform for your final assessment? who did you preform with? why did you choose that song:
I performed Howls Moving castle: Merry- Go- Round - Life , I performed a solo, I chose it because it has a really big meaning to me and I thought It would be cool if I learnt it.

how did you find performing:
It was alright, I was very nervous

were you happy with your performance:
Not necessarily I messed up on a piece because of my nervousness   

The Maze Runner

 In politics we got the opportunity to watch the maze runner, and it was a really great film highly recommend it if you are ever bored or just want a excitement boost, one interesting thing I learnt about maze runner is the setting it is shot in and its over all just amazing, one thing I want to know is why only send one person once a month when you cold just gather everyone and send them to the glade.

Water Safety

For next week we are going to have a lot of fun trips and one of them is going to be jelllie park, even though its fun you have to be cautious so remember these eight important rules.

Nelson Mandela TimeLine

In politcs we got to do a timeline about Either Hero's and Villain and all of the people on the list were leaders, for example if you wanted to do Hitler's timeline you could either portiere him as a hero or a villain.

Whakatauki

 In Home room we have been working on a DLO based on a whakatauki, ( a whakatauki is relevant to a quote) I had chosen "Ehaea takyu toa, he takitahi, he toa takitini translates to; My success should not be bestowed onto me alone, as it was not individual success but success of a collective. The quote is hard to understand but when you do it has a really good meaning behind it.

Leadership

For this new term Tieke's Year nines Have been doing a new program Called "Year 9 Leadership" and Overall its not a bad program to have, and its not to bad to learn about. To me leadership is someone taking the lead and heading head first into any task or opportunity's there is. Quality's I think future leaders should have is Patience, Loyalty, Kindness, Perseverance, Confidence and Strength Mentally. On the First week of doing Leaderships we had to take a quiz determine what type of leader we are and I had scored 53-90 which was a really decent high score. For Another task we had to challenge ourselves and not use slides for this task and this task involved going over 5 different types of Leaderships.

Transformational:

as many people worked hard using their own skills and talents to help create one of the world’s richest and strongest countries at the time, with Queen Victoria staying out of business unless it was necessary.

Participative:

In reading, we have been reading a book called Wildlife of Aotearoa - Gavin bishop Nature, and I chose to do the deep sea wildlife the animals you don't usually see or maybe even know about and that's why we made these slides. 

I like the viperfish because it's really cool and I like it's jaw because it can go really far.

Aim: To learn about the impact of fossil fuels on our environment.

The first thing was that we looked at Mining Fossil Fuels. We had to answer:


What Fossil Fuels are mined?

We had a Chocolate Chip Cookie and we had to draw it. Also, we had to draw a habitat. Here are our drawings.

After doing the activity, we had to answer a few questions. 

 What type of habitat is it?:

 In the sea.

What plants and animals live there?:

 Fish, Sharks, dolphins, etc

 How do humans use your habitat?:

They dig up Oil, do fishing, do scuba diving, swimming, etc.

After Mining

After digging our cookie, we had to answer reflection questions.

 How was your habitat (cookie) changed?:
 It had holes and crumbs falling.

How can we avoid this in the future?:
By starting from the middle part of the cookie.

What lives there now?:

Nothing

1. Get a Plastic Plate and put the Cookie in the middle
2. take a  book.
3. Draw two drawings
1. Draw a picture of the cookie.
2. Draw a picture of the habitat.
4. With a toothpick, dig the chocolate chip.
5. After digging the cookie, count how many chocolate chips you have.
6. Draw the cookie after being dug up 
7. Eat the cookie

Conclusion:

There was new information that I have learned today.There are 3 fossil fuels which are dug up, Oil, Coal, and Natural Gas.

AIM: TO LOOK AT CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT

Materials

1. 1 plastic bottle
2. 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda and Citric Acid
3. 1 heat lamp
4. 1 Thermometer
5. 100 ml of water
6. 1 rubber bung

Procedure:

1. Get all the equipment you need for the science projects 
2. Set up the lights, bottles, thermometers, and bungs.
3.  Add the baking soda mix along with 100ml of water.
4.  Wait for 5 minutes and start recording the temperature for each cup start the timer again.

Conclusion:

The normal bottle of water didn't get as hot as the CO2 water. This is just the same as climate change. I also found this experiment interesting.

Passion Projects Reflection.

Reflection on Passion Projects

This term the students got to fill out a survey to choose a subject for what they wanted to do, I chose digital world in digital world we got to make a augmented reality sandbox. We got to learn what an augmented reality sandbox was we got to build a augmented reality sandbox our selves with a teacher.otherwise we we would lose a finger, on the first week we got to know each other and get into groups and got our instructions our first instructions were  finding a name for the group then research an augmented reality sandbox. the next week we had to make measurements for the augmented reality sandbox. Week three we had to send letters to hardware company's asking for sand. Week four we had to make presentations.Today is the day we present our AR sandbox we have made a huge accomplishment we made the AR sandbox and it worked out we got the sand into it, and it just looks amazing. My team and other teams have worked super hard, and all that hard work was very worth it. today we are also presenting our AR sandbox slideshow, I will be blogging about that too. I am very existed to present and after we presented we get permission to go see other groups and see all their work.

Reflection on my time with Cyber smart.

1:What is a DLO you may ask? a DLO is anything that you can create digitally to share your learning. Normally it's something you have been asked to create to show an understanding of what you have learnt in particular class or lesson.

2 :   Who should know your password?

you your Mother father or parents or care givers they should be the people who know your password

you should always create a strong password so hackers can't log in and take everything like your work etc. If someone manged to hack into your computer change your password quickly make it more stronger.

Chromebook tip is you use ctrl+shift+T you can get a page back when you exited out, To select all text on a page just press ctril+A.

something I didn't enjoy was blogging to much. My cyber smart teacher was amazing she waited for us she gave us fun and existing work,but there are a few things she could work on she could just give us a little but more time so we don't feel rushed.

The 100 word Challenge

       The story of the bike and the tree

One day I was on my normal jog but this time I decided to head into the forest, it was fascinating the tree’s the sky and the water how it shined was beautiful. until something caught my eye there was a shiny object in the tree I thought it was an axe but I was mistaken.I went in for a closer look it was a bit creepy because it was a child's bike. After that happened I started coming to the forest more and more,I thought someone must of came here as a child and forgot there bike and just left it here so the tree must of grown on it or someone left it on a tree trunk while the tree was growing. I thought about the tree and the bike for almost three months, i decided to try and take it out and clean it up,and that's what I did.
