Anti -- Vietnam

 In Social Study's we are on the unit about the war against Vietnam, and we are looking at the music the protesters had made. The major artist we looked at was John Lennon.

John and Yoko stayed in bed for eight days, beginning on May 26, in an effort to promote world peace. They got a great deal of media attention, which is exactly what they wanted to promote their cause. This song quickly became the anthem of the antiwar movement as many Americans felt the country should not be fighting in Vietnam. During the bed-in he sang Give peace a chance several times for the reporters and he recorded it in the hotel room while the reporters were listening using only a simple rented four track tape recorder.

Slinkachu is a very famous photographer, he is famous for his tiny men photo's where he would put tiny men in different situations and would leave them there as a left behind art piece.

I took this very complex-ish photo and you can see they are in a V shape postion with the female's at front and the males at the back, and for the lighting i used to small little light bulbs that are green and white which kinda gives it a weird vibe. 

I just smoothed the clothes on the mini figures to give it a pearl-ish look and just made the men's clothes slick.

Hannah Hoch
Hannah Höch, née Anna Therese Johanne Höch, (born November 1, 1889. Hannah Höch was a German Dada artist known for her political photomontages. Made from newspaper clippings and found objects, her work often engaged with the early 20th-century ideal of the “New Woman”—one who challenged the traditional domestic role of females.

Hannah Hoch played a huge role in our photomontages, we had to learn about how she as an artist had become so popular for her bazaar photo work.

For the past 3 weeks, we had been trying to recreate Hanna Hoch's bazaar art style we had two-three weeks of making scrapbooks and after we had finished our scrapbooks we had to make three posters based on Hannah Hoch's way of putting everything together but we had a choice on what we wanted the images to be.

My photomontages

My first photo is a guy lying in a stadium with butterflies and a butterfly covering his face the focal point is the butterflies.

My second one is based on what a lucid dream what kinda looks like and my inspiration is based on for the bee's are from Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

My third one is kind of how I perceive eye's and eye color's I thought of stars because i think stars just add a beautiful feature to it.

What is challenging about playing guitar:

What I think is challenging is the strum pattern and the shifting to different chords.

What are the differences between guitar and ukulele/ which one is better/easier for you to play:

Guitars are bigger than ukuleles. Also, the standard guitar has 6 strings, while the ukulele has 4. The fretboard of the ukulele is significantly thinner than the guitar

New Zealand Government

we are learning about New Zealand's politics & how the government runs. New Zealand is a democracy and has an election every 3 years. Democracy is a form of government in which the common people hold political power and can vote. New Zealand is also a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system of Government. Our head of state is presently Queen Elizabeth II. At the moment she is represented by the Governor-General, Dame Pasty Reddy.  New Zealand's Government is made up of four different categories/groups, these include the head of state, Legislative, Executive, and, Judicial. 

Fwd: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Today in foods we got to make the magnificent chocolate chip cookies, it was quite an experience I would have never really thought that making such a famous cookie could be so hard, nonetheless, my group and I toughed through it and actually had fun, the cookie's had such an exquisite smell it was really breathtaking. 

Ingredients
100g butter 
1/2 cup Chelsea White sugar
1/2 cup Chelsea Brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/2 cups flour
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cups of chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS - MADE SIMPLE

We started off by turning our oven to 180 on bake. We then got our mise en place done (Finished getting our ingredients and putting them in order). After that, we softened our butter and added the sugars as well as the vanilla. Once that was creamed together, we added our egg and whipped it until it was incorporated into the mixture. When the wet ingredients were together we mixed all of our dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking powder, and chocolate chips) into a separate bowl to make sure everything would be incorporated at the same time. After that, we mixed the dry ingredients into the wet mixture making sure nit to River mix because that would activate the gluten. When we mixed it we got a tray and lined it with baking paper so the cookies don't stick to the tray. We rolled the cookies into medium-sized balls and placed them down so they don't touch when they spread out while cooking. Then you put them into the oven on the top shelf and cook for about 8 - 10 minutes.
