Anzac Biscuits

Today in cooking we got split into groups and were given different recipes of cooking goods, My group had consisted of Emily, Kahciar, Bradyn while we made some delicious Anzac biscuits. We would have worked better but in the end, but everyone did do their assigned jobs, it ended really well and we ended up with some beautifully select Anzac biscuits.

Anzac Biscuits
1/2 cups of Edmonds standard plain flour
1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup coconut
3/4  cup rolled oats
50 g butter
1 Tablespoon golden syrup
1/2 teaspoon Edmonds baking soda
2 tablespoons boiling water

Method
Pre-heat your oven on 180 bake. Mix together the flour, sugar, coconut, and rolled oats. Melt the butter and golden syrup together in a small bowl. Dissolve the baking soda in the boiling water and add it to butter and golden syrup. Fold the butter mixture into the dry ingredients until it is combined. Roll the mix into medium-sized balls and fit them on a lined tray 4x3. place them in the oven for about 12-15 minutes or until it turns a golden brown color.

TASTE EVALUATION
They had a nice crunchy outside while the inside was soft and chewy. The outside had this sugary coating while the inside had this chewy mix between a sweet coconut and the bitterness of the rolled oats. Overall it tasted amazing and had a great texture. When they cooled down they still have around the same taste but the biscuits were cruncher and colder. They still have an amazing sugary coating and chewy inside. Best ANZAC Biscuit

ever!

Stake Holder Opinion
"It as a really nice flavour and texture, on the inside as well and the coconut gives it a nice kick to it as well with the oats.'

Summary
Overall the biscuits turned out really well and it exceeded my expectations and along will my fellow peers; Although my group could have worked and communicated better I was still glad we managed to get our biscuits looking delightful and tasting delightful.

In music class, we had to get into groups of four and we got to choose a genre of music we wanted to research my group and I decided to do blues, We were also given the options of what to search about the music genres e.x musical instruments they use. Empathy

How I showed Empathy
How I showed empathy was when my friend was in a really bad state where their mind couldn't focus so I decided that I needed to try and distract them from their bad thoughts.

Why I think it's important to be an empathetic person
Empathy is important because it helps us understand how others are feeling so we can
respond appropriately to the situation. Empathy also helps us to communicate our ideas in
a way that makes sense to others, and it helps us.

Dilution Experiment

On Monday my class and I got to do an experiment including diluting the chemical potassium permanganate, we have been learning about concentration and dilution so we did an experiment to see the result in front of us and understand what it looks like.

Aim: To understand what dilution does and how it works

Method: We had gotten our rack and we placed six test tubes and started putting water in each individual tubes and placed 5mil into each tube beside one the one that we left we had poured 10mil into it. We had then gone to our teacher so they could put the potassium permanganate. We then gently placed the test tube in the small rack and began stirring the mixture until it became a beautiful dark purple. Our teacher then explained that we had to take 5mil out of the 10mil tube and place it in the 5mil ones but we had to keep taking from the one we had originally placed the mixture in, so our result would look like a transparent pink.

Equipment:
Test Tube Rack
6x Test Tubes
Pipette
Potassium permanganate crystal
Tweezers
10mL measuring cylinder

Results:

Discussion:
As you can see in the photo the color purple gets lighter and lighter as it goes past each test tube. That is because the last few test tubes had more water which means that there was the least amount of potassium permanganate.

The test tube that is light purple has least potassium permanganate, most water, which means
most dilute =least concentrated

Therefore the dark purple test tube has the most amount of potassium permanganate, least amount of water which means
most concentrated = least dilute.

9/11 Time line

Have you ever heard of 9/11? What is 9/11?
The September 11 or 9/11 attacks were a series of airline hijackings and suicide attacks committed in 2001 by 19 terrorists associated with the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda. It was the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S soil; nearly 3,000 people were killed.

Who planned the September 11 attacks?
Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is considered the mastermind of the attacks, though Khalid Sheihk Mohammed was the operational planner. Mohammed came up with the innovation of using hijacked planes to attack the United States, and al-Qaeda provided the personnel, money, and logistical support to execute the mission
Mohammed Atta was selected to head the mission. He and 18 other terrorists, most of whom were from Saudi Arabia, established themselves in the United States, where some received flight training. All 19 hijackers died in the attacks, bin Laden was killed by the U.S forces in 2011, and Mohammed was then captured in 2003.

On the morning of September 11th, 2001, started off like any other usual day. The Twin towers stood tall in the Financial District, as they had for more than 30 years.

Why do I think 9/11 was chaotic?
I think it is very chaotic because it was not an accident everything was planned out, not just the fact that the Twin Towers were destroyed but some people decided to jump out of the buildings *commit suicide* because they thought that would be better than burning alive is more chaotic,

Fwd: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Today in foods we got to make the magnificent chocolate chip cookies, it was quite an experience I would have never really thought that making such a famous cookie could be so hard, nonetheless, my group and I toughed through it and actually had fun, the cookie's had such an exquisite smell it was really breathtaking.

Ingredients

100g butter
1/2 cup Chelsea White sugar
1/2 cup Chelsea Brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/2 cups flour
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cups of chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS - MADE SIMPLE

We started off by turning our oven to 180 on bake. We then got our mise en place done (Finished getting our ingredients and putting them in order). After that, we softened our butter and added the sugars as well as the vanilla. Once that was creamed together, we added our egg and whipped it until it was incorporated into the mixture. When the wet ingredients were together we mixed all of our dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking powder, and chocolate chips) into a separate bowl to make sure everything would be incorporated at the same time. After that, we mixed the dry ingredients into the wet mixture making sure nit to River mix because that would activate the gluten. When we mixed it we got a tray and lined it with baking paper so the cookies don't stick to the tray. We rolled the cookies into medium-sized balls and placed them down so they don't touch when they spread out while cooking. Then you put them into the oven on the top shelf and cook for about 8 - 10 minutes.

Online relationships VS Real Life relationships

Online relationships aren't as important as real life

In health, we discussed the statement " online relationships aren't as important as real-life relationships,  some people might think that online relationships are important but that's why I'll be talking about the Pros and Cons about this issue. I will also be covering the topic about real-life relationships.
Pros
1)You're more likely to talk with each other and get to know each other more than before

2)Online dating provided individuals with access to many more potential partners than they could often find in their daily lives.

3)Online dating offers a number of ways to get to know a potential date before meeting in person. Such computer-mediated communication allows for safe and convenient interaction

4)Many online dating sites offer various types of personality testing and matching. Such matching can help guide individuals toward dating partners who may be more compatible.

Cons

1)Matching is a difficult process and testing may not be accurate for everyone. In addition, people may present differently in person or change over time.

2)The choices of partners can become confusing and overwhelming. Without a clear plan

3)Communication through computers is lacking some of the information provided in face-to-face interaction. As a result, it is harder to evaluate a potential match online. Also, some of the cues and features that build attraction (like touching) cannot be accomplished through a computer.

4)online daters can get stuck endlessly "shopping" for the perfect partner, rather than actually starting a satisfying relationship.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Real-life relationship

Pros
1) Having someone to go to social events with

2) You always have someone to do stuff with

3) They listen to you

4) Truly enjoyable moments

Cons
1)Fights it bound to happen eventually

2)Their attitude

3)When they don't listen to you

4)When they hurt you

Conclusion
Overall, it is important to remember that online dating is best used as a resource to meet individuals for face-to-face dating. Keeping that goal in your mind will prevent you from getting stuck on the drawbacks and limitations of online dating. So, if you get confused, the best next step is always to move an interaction towards a date. If you get overwhelmed with all the access to too many choices, then you need to find a way to narrow them down and find better matches. If you don't know what to do with a potential match, send them a quick text. If you get frustrated with talking online, then suggest a meeting in person or suggest a face to face call. Follow that process and you will more easily find a satisfying connection online and face-to-face too.
