Intro -- close up, spaceman  jumps into the shot, slow-motion shot to give the feeling w are in space

- intro symbol of the astronaut helmet covers his face represents  the barrier august puts between himself and the world 

Music  - It starts quiet, slow but the tempo and dynamics increase to build energy in the scene. We can hear a radio on the ground control talking to the astronaut

Next- Is a tracking shot as we move away from the figure it is now a boy in a helmet jumping on the bed, close up shows us auggies "reality"  or view of the world but as we pill back we see the real world 

- close up shows us auggies surgery's panning out worm's eye view of the parents talking 

2min- building suspense as we haven't seen the boys face we don't know what's wrong but 
hints it's bad - hospital scene, helmet, school convo Auggie's dialogue in the voice over 

point of view shot- Auggie watching his parents argue about him going to school
-Getting reminded of space when Auggie is in the shot 

close-ups, when Auggie meets Mr tushman, close up shot and wide shot. theirs a close up between Auggie and his mother, close up on the kid's faces and their shoes. over the shoulder shot over Auggie to see Julien, Julien having a bad attitude to Charlette and Auggie   

-High angle overviewing the classroom with the kids walking in, Auggie making himself small, Julien giving bad comments to Auggie about his face. Auggie is walking with his helmet. via making her self smaller. 

Two-person shot- dad is at eye level with Auggie to not dominate over 

POV- putting us in Auggie's point of view showing us what he sees

overshot- there is an overshot of all the students looking at Mr brown while he talking

Star wars: lightsabers, pada wong, Character input, Chewbacca, Darth Sidious, boba fet. is a symbol of Auggie wanting people to treat him normally- a safe place in star wars universe there are lots of star Wars references.

Panning outshot- there is a panning outshot with his mother and then moving to a long-distance shot. 

High angel shot: there is a high angel shot over Auggie transitioning to dodge ball

Halloween scene: 42:56

Auggie is looking for a new costume he can use for Halloween and doesn't get what he wants, then the mum and Via decide to spend Halloween together.

Auggie is at school and now its Halloween and he's over the top kind of happy as he doesn't have to show his face and people are high fiving and talking to him, then he gets to class to see jack talking to Julian and his friends about him. They are saying lots of things like I would kill myself if I looked like him. This shot is focused on Auggie

body language- deliberate change of body language, head up high and walking confidently. he is also interacting with others a lot more than before

Music- Happy/ upbeat- monster mash, fast tempo, lots of energy, it all of a sudden changed to having no lyrics and a sad minor key that makes it known that he's unhappy,
When he hears jack saying " If I looked like him I would kill myself"- Music tempo gets slow,  quiet dynamics to make us focus, use of diegetic sound- kids laughing.

Why is this scene important? 
I think it's important because it shows how august loves Halloween and it has been a pretty bad one and it's hardly begun. I think it was also there to show that he thought he had made a friend and he turned out to be like everyone else which would show its importance, as jack has been manipulated by Jullian into betraying Auggie.

- Start wars character Darth sideois used by Julian to make fun of Auggie.
Jacks fight:
Starts at eye level- mid/medium shot, makes us part of the convo 
Sounds: are diagetic 

Low angle shot as boys hit the ground, this makes the fight seem more dangerous moves to a close up of the struggle 
the dutch tilt of low angel makes jack look more aggressive of violence 

music-mirror(sad) quiet, dynamic creates found the intense  slow tempo

shot in slow -motion so we can see the event more clearly 
Significant - shows the theme of popularity/acceptance. jack learnt from his mistake and is standing up for his friend

During fight shots used to make Auggie and his friends biger-meaner more powerful and the bullies, weak and vulnerable music has a fast tempo to build intensity 

Significant- auggie has grown as a character he is now willing to stand up for himself
