The Piano

The  old, crusty piano room gives me heartbreaking flashbacks of my wife. I can hardly bring myself to go in there as it is the place that she died from her cancer. I remember her in so much pain it was a really rough time for us.  Now she is in heaven and happy I loved playing her beautiful songs on the piano. Sometimes we would play songs together. My wife was so beautiful with her big smile she would make everyone happy. “I will play her a song” I said in my head my fingers are a bit rusty from not playing for a many years since my wife died. My wife would say, “You’ll never know if you don’t try.” I remember how beautiful her songs were every time I would play I could see her happy next to me but she gave me kiss on the check one last time before she disappeared, that’s the last I remember.

I remember I was in the war and it was a hard year for people when the war started, my poor buddy Jack got shot at the moment right after he shot his last bullet it was so very sad to see him go. It took me awhile to let him go, but now that I remember him, I just realised I can never let anyone go, the hardest thing I could ever do is let someone go.

I remember my father gave me a horse that was attached to a stick, I loved that horse so much and that is why I want to give it to my grandson Henry for his 6th birthday. He loved it just as I loved it as well, I was happy when he got the horse, his face was in so much joy, Henry came up to me and asked if he could play too.  I said yes as we enjoyed our last moments.

The Extravaganza event.

 

The Extravaganza is a performance about the changing history of our school.

My group name is slice of heaven and it amazing. I wore all white with white shoes it's really fun to perform in front a lot of people we were performing at the high school auditorium. Here is the song we were performing on stage Slice of Heaven the people in my group names are Brooke Tasharn Shanarnia Mikayla Y Sage Sam Corbyn Chasper.

Number the stars

                      This slideshow about an important part of a novel called "Number The Stars". It took   along time to make. Zayd and Keyana have helped a lot with this slideshow we could have done better , making it look more realistic,but it would have tooken to long. For this part of my learning, the WALT is to Retell an important part of the novel that we are currently up to.This is our slideshow of Number the stars, we hope you enjoy.
                     

Create a model of Bigfoot and a human

    W.A.L.T Create a model that shares something We have learnt about our mystery.  This term me and my buddies Zayd and Iszac have made a   Bigfoot model and a human here are some  photos of me and Zayd and the model enjoy

It took almost the whole term for us to make it because we couldn't work out what to do but we did it and we used cardboard for the base and the clay went over the cardboard and we just used some green felts for the grass and here's a slideshow of some of my creations.  I have learned a lot of Bigfoot and his habitat and interesting facts

I have read a book about A.N.Z.A.C day and I made a slide show about my questions of war 

To make this, first I had to choose my topic, then I had to read a book about my topic then I had to create a slide about my topic

and I had to put information about the topic on it.

W.A.L.T Write an information report that informs the audience.

Success Criteria

I know I will be successful when….

• I use an opening statement that explains the subject of the report.

• The opening statement is followed by sentences that describe the event; what you saw, what you did, how you felt, what you learnt.
• Each paragraph focuses on a different aspect of the topic; travelling, the beach, the lagoon walk, playground.

A general statement about the topic usually rounds off the report.               

My fun trip to Spencer Park

Last Friday Ako Ngatahi lined up to go to Spencer Park. Then we lined up in our class then some people got to go on the bus and in cars I went in a car with Keri. When we got there we lined up in our group numbers I was in group 2 .

First we went to the beach we made sandcastles, drew in the sand but we weren't allowed to swim in the sea and we went back to the hut for lunch

We played and played and played I mostly went on the flying fox. Me and Tya

Played tag. but you can’t touch the floor and if you did you were it. And I wanted to go on the flying fox so I did I went on the long one and then I went on the short one.  

Then we all had to come down to go on are next trip. Well group 2 went on the bird hide. But we went the wrong way. so we all sat down and had a drink some people went far away from the parent and the teacher. We had a chat and then we kept walking I felt sick but it was because I wasn't used to it but when we got back we had a snack but I was too excited eat. So I went on the flying fox all three of them.

The other groups got to go to the beach to collect treasure but my group didn’t go. That wrapped the day up and we lined up once again in our class lines and our class lined up in the year you were in. I’m a year 6 and the people who went in the cars went a again I was in the front

And the people who went with me were Gerard, Khalaynie, Shalizeh, Sage and Mereana.
