W.A.L.T I am learning to think carefully about what I am reading and how I use the text. This week we have being learning about A.N.Z.A.C  day

I have read a book about A.N.Z.A.C day and I made a slide show about my questions of war 

To make this, first I had to choose my topic, then I had to read a book about my topic then I had to create a slide about my topic

and I had to put information about the topic on it.

W.A.L.T Write an information report that informs the audience.

Success Criteria

I know I will be successful when….

• I use an opening statement that explains the subject of the report.

• The opening statement is followed by sentences that describe the event; what you saw, what you did, how you felt, what you learnt.
• Each paragraph focuses on a different aspect of the topic; travelling, the beach, the lagoon walk, playground.

A general statement about the topic usually rounds off the report.               

My fun trip to Spencer Park

Last Friday Ako Ngatahi lined up to go to Spencer Park. Then we lined up in our class then some people got to go on the bus and in cars I went in a car with Keri. When we got there we lined up in our group numbers I was in group 2 .

First we went to the beach we made sandcastles, drew in the sand but we weren't allowed to swim in the sea and we went back to the hut for lunch

We played and played and played I mostly went on the flying fox. Me and Tya

Played tag. but you can’t touch the floor and if you did you were it. And I wanted to go on the flying fox so I did I went on the long one and then I went on the short one.  

Then we all had to come down to go on are next trip. Well group 2 went on the bird hide. But we went the wrong way. so we all sat down and had a drink some people went far away from the parent and the teacher. We had a chat and then we kept walking I felt sick but it was because I wasn't used to it but when we got back we had a snack but I was too excited eat. So I went on the flying fox all three of them.

The other groups got to go to the beach to collect treasure but my group didn’t go. That wrapped the day up and we lined up once again in our class lines and our class lined up in the year you were in. I’m a year 6 and the people who went in the cars went a again I was in the front

And the people who went with me were Gerard, Khalaynie, Shalizeh, Sage and Mereana.

This is the tree of new year.  

                                                  My family made this thing named the tree of new year and every                         year we go down to the beach to get seashells to put on the tree and that has a lot of white dots.
                                         I made this because it remanded me of my tradition .

W.A.L.T Seals and earthquake

This is my seals and earthquake work

 I worked really really hard on this. It took me almost a week.

If you haven't been to Kaikoura please go visit. It is the most the beautiful place in the world the sea and

seals. I also got some words form the internet I really hope you like it. I also got a book to help me.

I would like some feedback and I  hope you like my blog post.I read about how the seals reacted to the earthquake and how their sanctuary got demolished. from the earthquake

The Present

In the past weeks our class (Ako Ngatahi) were writing a short story about a video titled “The Present”. It was a story about a boy who got a present and it was a puppy. After he discovered that the puppy only had three legs.

I know I will be successful when….

• The title is suitable for the text.

• The orientation tells who the story is about, and when and where the story happened.
• The complication describes a problem and explains what happened next.
• The resolution explains how the problem was solved.

My best friend Max

It was a normal day I was playing on my xbox360. And then I heard mum.

I saw mum with a big brown box. I that it was a Xbox1. She put the box in front of me and then she opened the blinds ”Mum, it’s too bright". Then the phone went (beep beep). Mum answered. I opened the box. It was a puppy. But he only had 3 legs he was just like me! I was mad. He wanted to play but i did not he find a red ball. So He put the Ball on the side of me.

I kicked it then he run after the ball he was fast for a little puppy with 3 legs. He acted really silly. Then I said to myself "Why not play with the puppy?" I got my crutches and told mum that i was going outside. And I got the ball and we played all day. And we will always be together
